I'm Gayathri, a third year Integrated Masters student at IIIT Bangalore. I am an aspiring Software Engineer who loves to code, discuss ideas and work on different technologies!

Coding has always fascinated me. The ability to write seemingly incoherant words on a blank screen and be able to make millions of lives easier, is truly inspiring. As a student of Computer Science, I aim to leverage this knowledge to contribute my bit to our constantly growing, technology-governed world.

Diversity and inclusion are something that I deeply care about. Being a woman myself, I have witnessed these problems first-hand. Various factors contribute to the lack of diversity in tech, and a lot of these come into play very early on in life. It hence becomes necessary to solve these problems right at the education level - by encouraging minorities to speak up, challenge and stand out. This is part of what we do at LeanIn IIIT Bangalore - changing these numbers on a small scale.

Currently my areas of interest include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms and Web Development. I like contributing to open source and have worked on different internships as a full-stack developer. I also regularly engage in competitive programming which helps me think algorithmically and solve problems with efficiency. In my leisure, I like listening to music, strumming a guitar or just sipping a cup of coffee!
